Hey there, I’m Christine Fuchs (pronounced fjuːks), a yoga teacher and wellness coach in my mid-50s.
If you had met me twenty years ago, you would have been laughing at the idea of me doing yoga. Isn’t yoga for hippies and people who believe in the power of crystals?
Like many of you, I was once fully immersed in my career (in my case, a career in investment management). I was pushing myself harder each day, neglecting the cost this focus was having on my health.
By the time I hit my 40s, I was overweight, dealing with chronic back pain, and struggling to sleep. I knew I needed to make a change.
That's when I discovered the transformative power of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness.
These practices helped me regain my energy, mental clarity, and inner peace, leading me to a state of well-being that I had never experienced before.
After a decade of self-discovery and growth through yoga, I attained my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification, and there has been no looking back.
I am so passionate about my online yoga studio for 45+ because:
My yoga welcomes everyone, no matter your age, size, or flexibility (and, of course, gender and race, but that goes without saying). I am neither young, nor skinny (my weight fluctuates 25 pounds up and down on a regular basis), nor super flexible. And I don't expect you to be either. Come as you are! My teachings focus on approachable yoga for those of us over 45; yoga without contortions; yoga that counters the ill effects of spending too much time in front of our computers.
My yoga is easy to access. I know you're busy and don’t have time to drive to a yoga studio on a regular basis. To keep you from any excuses not to do yoga, I teach all my classes online. Live on Zoom or via pre-recorded videos. This allows you to get all the amazing benefits of yoga from the convenience and privacy of your home and without any peer pressure.
My yoga is anatomy-based and lighthearted. I don’t believe in woo woo, crystals, or chakras. I have a master's degree, a love for science and research, and enjoy diving deep into anatomy. My yoga teachings are anatomy-informed, focused on reconnecting with our bodies, and joyful. Yes, having fun and spreading positive energy are key!

When you meet me, you might detect a slight foreign accent because I grew up in Austria (yes, "the hills are alive!"). For the past 25 years, I have been living in beautiful Boston.
I love Nutella (by the spoonful right out of the jar). It's my guilty pleasure! Life is too short not to have some guilty pleasures.
Bali is my happy place, and I am fortunate to spend a month there every year. Some day I might even host a yoga retreat in Bali. Would you come?
Oh, and my life wouldn't be complete without my fabulous rescue cat. She is my lap warmer and personal assistant. Unfortunately, she often sleeps on the job.
