Increase your well-being with these 3 tips

Many of us are constantly sleep-deprived. So the last thing we need is to lose a precious hour of sleep as we turn our clocks forward for daylight saving time.

Losing one hour doesn't seem like much, but it's significant to our internal clock, which is synchronized to the sun and daylight.

Did you know that there is an overall increase in heart attacks on the days directly following the time change? And that fatal traffic accidents increase the Monday after the time change?

I don't mean to alarm you, but please be careful over the next few days!! 😍

Here are my 3 tips to manage the transition to daylight saving time

1. Spend time outdoors

Spending time outdoors in the sun is critical to resetting our internal clocks. Instead of taking a nap, go outside for a walk, even if it's just a quick one. You can also sit by a window or try light therapy. (It's also a good idea to clean your windows to allow more sunshine in ☀️).

2. Stick to your sleep schedule

Avoid sleeping in an hour longer in the morning. Instead, keep your routine as normal as possible. Get up and go to bed at your normal times. Also, stick to your regular routine for eating and exercising.

3. Keep up (or develop) good sleep hygiene

Getting enough sleep each and every night is so vital to our overall well-being. A healthy bedtime routine can help you fall asleep easier and stay asleep longer.

Wishing you well!
