Strengthen Your Back Muscles with Baby Cobra | Yoga Pose Tutorial

Hi, I want to share part three of my four-part series of tips for specific yoga poses.
Today's focus is on Baby Cobra Pose, also called Low Cobra. It's an excellent pose for strengthening your back muscles and stretching the front of your body.
In this pose, you gently arch your spine backward. If you want to get technical, this kind of movement is called a spinal extension. Moving your spine in this direction helps to counteract all the forward motion and more rounded shapes you make throughout the day as you sit in front of your computer and other electronic devices.
A study shows that practicing yoga, including Cobra Pose, for 12 weeks helps improve self-reported lower back pain and the anxiety that comes with chronic pain.
To help you get the most out of this pose, I recorded a 2-minute YouTube video sharing my 3 tips for Baby Cobra Pose. Be sure to check it out.
If you like the video, please give it a thumbs up so YouTube will show it to more people.
Best,
Christine
