Simple Yoga Stretches for Your Lower Back | Video Included

Repeat after me: I don't have to live with chronic low back pain.

My point? Instead of letting your chronic low back pain get in the way of fully enjoying your life, I invite you to try yoga. Put aside any preconceived notions about yoga and any fear that your body isn't built for yoga.
I know that together -- you and I -- we can improve your chronic low back pain so that you feel better in your body every day.
I used to suffer from chronic spasms in my low back. I would be frozen in a forward-bent position until the spasm ended. It was quite embarrassing when it happened in public. My chronic back pain was one of the reasons why I started yoga 14 years ago. I hired a private yoga instructor who taught me stretches to release the pain and movements to keep the pain from coming back.
To give you a flavor of the types of stretches that help with low back pain, I created a 12-minute YouTube video for you. Find a carpeted area in your home (or use a yoga mat) and hit the play button:
We do some of these stretches (and so many more!) in my online 60-minute gentle yoga classes. You can either join my live classes or rent my pre-recorded classes.
