Discover the joys and benefits of yoga with me

Has the pandemic made you realize that you need to take better care of yourself? Are your friends or children bugging you to try yoga? Are they raving about how transformative yoga has been for them and that you MUST do yoga?
First of all, you don't have to do anything you don’t want to do (well, except paying taxes).
But they ARE right: yoga is a wonderful practice.
🧘🏻♀️ Yoga improves your mobility and flexibility
🧘🏻♀️ Yoga improves your balance
🧘🏻♀️ Yoga helps with stress relief and anxiety, helps you sleep better, and much more.
So, what's holding you back from doing yoga regularly?
You might think that yoga is for younger people, for flexible people, or for people who love crystals.
But this couldn’t be further from the truth!
Yoga is for everyone - young or old, bendy or stiff, crystal-loving or not. There are lots of different types of yoga available.
Yoga offers so many benefits, especially once you've reached middle age. Yes, at age 52, I'm definitely middle-aged (and I don't have many crystals). 😉
You might be hesitant about taking yoga in a yoga studio, surrounded by yogis. I understand.
If you’re nervous about taking a class in a yoga studio or don't want to spend time driving there and back, try online yoga via ZOOM from the comfort of your home.
There are lots of advantages to doing yoga at home with a teacher guiding you.
At home, you can practice at your own pace and without comparing yourself to other students. A 60-minute session truly takes only 60 minutes because there is no commuting (and a 30-minute session truly takes only 30 minutes). And if you just rolled out of bed right before class and without having showered, nobody but you will know.
Yoga is about being kind to yourself, not about beating yourself up or feeling like you have to compete against other people.
There are many yoga teachers offering yoga live via Zoom. I might be the right yoga teacher for YOU.
You’ll enjoy my classes if you’re looking for:
✅ a compassionate and fun teacher in her 50s
✅ a teacher who is welcoming and enjoys building a supportive community
✅ classes that are easy to follow and taught in a joyful and light-hearted way
✅ all instructions are given in plain English (no use of Sanskrit)
✅ movements that are based on the anatomy of the human body
✅ classes that are more focused on releasing tension in your shoulders, neck, and low back and less on fancy poses and complicated sequences.
If that resonates with you, step over your fear of doing yoga and sign up for one or more of my upcoming 8-week yoga series. We get started in a week. I'm offering three different types of classes this term:
🧘🏻♀️ Slow-Flow Yoga (60 mins) on Sundays at 9:00 AM ET
🧘🏻♀️ Stretch & Balance (30 mins) on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM ET
🧘🏻♀️ Strength Building (30 mins) on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM ET (⭐️ New ⭐️)
Go to my website to learn more and sign up.
If you want one-on-one yoga sessions to get your yoga journey started or to deepen your practice, I also offer private yoga sessions via Zoom.
When you practice yoga regularly, you'll soon be able to feel the difference.
At first, you'll feel more mobile and flexible. Then, you might develop a sense of gratitude for those who have joined you on this journey—your virtual classmates, your teacher, and yourself. Next, you might notice that your mind becomes less cluttered; and, finally, you'll discover a more positive attitude towards life.
What an amazing journey! Are you ready to come along?
Best,
Christine
