Book Recommendations For Your Remaining Summer Weeks

Hi, how is your summer going? Can you believe it's only 3 more weeks until Labor Day weekend?

I've been using the summer months to catch up on my reading. If you're looking for some good new books to read over these remaining summer weeks, or into the fall, here are some that you might enjoy:

"Your Fully Charged Life" by Meaghan Murphy, released February 2021

This energizing and upbeat guide is about embracing every day with a can-do mindset that motivates others and makes life more fun. Author Meaghan Murphy provides ideas for small changes and habits that can change your outlook when you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and wallowing in negative thoughts (and reaching for a pint of your favorite ice cream).

By the way, if you're feeling exhausted and haven't downloaded my Yoga Bites video series yet to help you regain your energy in just 5 minutes, be sure to grab it now: Yoga Bites Video Series

"The Lost Art of Connecting" by Susan McPherson, released March 2021

After 16 months of us all living in hibernation, this book is a great reminder of the importance of connecting with people. I had the pleasure of being on a webinar with author Susan McPherson, who is often described as a "super-connector". In her new book, she teaches us how to build real and meaningful networking contacts. She lays out how to be intentional and authentic in building genuine connections in and out of work and how to leverage technology as a tool.

"Lights Out: Pride, Delusion, and The Fall of General Electric" by Thomas Gryta, released May 2021

I first heard about this book when Bill Gates put it on his summer 2021 reading list. Remember when we all thought GE was invincible and that Jack Welch was the best CEO ever? Reading this book will blow your mind! It exposes how dysfunctional the culture of GE became and how its win-at-all-costs driven culture ultimately caused the company's decline from an all-time great company to a shadow of its former self.

Have you read any good books recently? I'm always looking for book recommendations. Please let me know!

Best,

Christine
