Being a novice should be fun!
Wellness & Yoga with Christine | NOV 19, 2022

I've been thinking back to what it was like to when I started yoga 14 years ago. I was intimated to attend my first class and felt completely out of place as I cautiously unrolled my yoga mat in the back corner of the yoga studio.
The class was filled with a (seemingly) curated selection of hyper-flexible, super-human female creatures (plus one guy with a man-bun) that seemed to have stepped out of the latest Lululemon catalog. At least, that was my impression of them.
Let's just say that those folks didn't resonate with me and it was not the most welcoming environment for me to begin to learn yoga. But damnit, yoga is supposed to be so good for me.
Learning something new should be fun and enjoyable.
“You can learn new things at any time in your life if you're willing to be a beginner. If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you.” ― Barbara Sher, author
If you're inspired to learn something new, I invite you to give yoga a try ... in a non-threatening and welcoming environment.
Yoga has benefitted me in so many ways and it can do the same for you:
✔︎ I am calmer, so I am more relaxed with my partner and more tolerant with others.
✔︎ My brain fog has lifted and I can actually remember where I parked the car.
✔︎ I feel better in my body, with fewer aches and pains.
But how do you get started with yoga? That's where I can help you!
I'm launching a live Yoga for Novices course in January 2023.
In this small-group course, I'll guide you through each step of your new yoga journey ... without fear or intimidation (and without woo woo). It's designed specifically for the novice or anyone wanting a step-by-step review of the basics.
The course will be live online (on Zoom), so you can join from the comfort and privacy of your home. No need to commute to a yoga studio. You'll be in the virtual company of others who are 45+ and don't consider themselves "natural yogis".
To make sure each of you gets my personalized attention and that we build a supportive community amongst us, I'm capping the course at 8 students.
So, what's holding you back?
If you think you are not flexible enough, not fit enough, or not young enough to start yoga, think again. This course is for you! I promise to take all these fears away from you and gently turn you into a yogi (without any woo-woo).

By joining the list, you'll have the chance to sign up for this course (and secure yourself one of the 8 spots) a few days before I open the course up to the public in December. And, as a special incentive, you'll get an early-bird discount as a thank you for signing up early.
So, if you've ever thought that you might want to give yoga a try so you can feel great in your body, let me be this little voice in your head telling you to jump over your fear and just do it!
Best,
Christine
